New loyalty system to start in Alexandrium Shopping Center

In the morning of Monday 21 January, Alexandrium Shopping Center will be the first to introduce a brand new loyalty system which will offer consumers special benefits: Up Alexandrium. All purchases in Alexandrium will be rewarded with Ups, which can be exchanged for great rewards and extra services. Customers save their Ups using a customer card or their smartphone app. Corio, the owner of Alexandrium Shopping Center and many shopping centres throughout Europe, will be introducing this loyalty system in six European countries.

Shopping in the Netherlands and Europe is changing fast. Consumers demand more online services. Corio has now developed an online platform for its shopping centres that will offer the consumer benefits, services, experiences and great surprises. The system will be adapted locally to the specific situation of each shopping centre and its catchment area. Rotterdam is the first to introduce this new concept in its highly successful Alexandrium Shopping Center (more than 9 million visitors each year).

What is unique about Up Alexandrium is that it is valid for the entire shopping centre. Customers can use the app to like and share using social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Corio wants to serve customers on a one-to-one basis with Up Alexandrium. This is part of Corio’s strategy to create Favourite Meeting Places.

On Monday morning at 11 o’clock, Patrick Meijer, the administrator of Alexander subdistrict, will start saving his first Ups to launch the loyalty system. From that moment, Up Alexandrium will officially be up and running. A special Up point with interactive pillars has been set up in Alexandrium Shopping Center and service staff will be on hand to help the shopping public.
